The AA/PI Manager advises the state conservationist, serves on the NRCS Louisiana Civil Rights Advisory Committee, and conducts a special emphasis program which:

  • Promotes fair and equitable treatment to the Asian American/Pacific Island (AA/PI) employees in our workforce;

  • Assists in ensuring that the general population of Asian American and Pacific Islanders are informed of our services and programs.

  • Assists in recruiting qualified Asian American and Pacific Island people into our agency.


May is Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month

The 2009 theme for AA/PI Heritage Month is "Leadership to Meet the Challenges of a Changing World."

Mr. Thomas Share, Watershed Planning Staff, Davis, California, has been awarded first place for his entry in the 2009 AA/PI Heritage Month poster contest. His poster and biography can be downloaded below.
