The AA/PI Manager advises the
state conservationist, serves on the NRCS Louisiana Civil Rights Advisory Committee, and conducts a special emphasis program which:

Promotes fair and equitable
treatment to the Asian American/Pacific Island (AA/PI) employees in our workforce;

Assists in ensuring that the
general population of Asian American and Pacific Islanders are informed of our services and programs.

Assists in recruiting
qualified Asian American and Pacific Island people into our agency.
May is Asian American/Pacific Islander Heritage Month
The 2009 theme for AA/PI Heritage Month is "Leadership to Meet the Challenges
of a Changing World."
Mr. Thomas Share, Watershed Planning Staff, Davis, California, has been awarded
first place for his entry in the 2009 AA/PI Heritage Month poster contest. His
