Over the past 40 years, the
Jamie L.
Whitten Plant Materials Center near Coffeeville has worked closely
with its customers to develop solutions for a broad range of
conservation concerns and issues. Cropland erosion control, pastureland
improvement, critical area erosion control, including urban conservation
concerns, water quality improvement, and wildlife habitat enhancement
are the major conservation issues in the service area, which includes
the state of Mississippi (excluding the coastal counties), the delta
regions of Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky, and the
Blackland Prairie of Alabama. |
